The food and service are absolutely impeccable! I haven't had fresh handrolls, sushi, and sashimi like this since I was in Hawai`i! It's a relatively small place with all bar seating so if you plan on going with a group you better get there early.

I'm a big guy and I like to eat. I love sushi. I had recently seen this place on Yelp and was itching for a chance to give it a shot. I came for lunch right at 11 and it wasn't crowded but by 11:45 when I left the place was full. I got the hand rolls, which I think are delicious and a great value. Then I went through the specials menu. Madai, Saba, salmon belly, scallop, shima aji, tuna and chutoro. I've had them all before and they were on par with other places I've been to, the chutoro was my favorite and I agreee with all the other reviews that the salmon belly is worth a try. It looked like 27 spaces and they had 8 sushi chefs so the service was great. I'm planning on going back.

I've been here more than a handful of times, so this review is long overdue. We always come right before opening time because it does get busy quickly. They do not take reservations, so it's first come first serve. There is no tables, everyone is seated at the bar. Enjoy watching the chef make your order right in front of you. Service here is always fantastic. I have not once had a bad experience here. We always gravitate towards the special menu. And let me tell you, the fish is so fresh! The ingredients for each piece is perfectly balanced. I promise you it will make your taste buds happy. Fresh wasabi all the way! Hatsuyuki is my top choice for sushi in Fort Worth. So if you haven't, you must! This is a command!!! Go now! Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Overall, a good experience. 5* for service, look and feel. But for value, and the quality of the fish, I'd have to rate closer to a 4* in comparison to it's broader DFW spots that have a better bang for your buck with superior quality fish. First - Good sized area, only bar seating, but overall the place is solid. Can have a good intimate conversation not the greatest for large groups. Service - Friendly quick and efficient. Fish - Went with the 5 roll combo, started off with the crab. Seemed a bit less crab meat than other handroll spots, and they also felt a bit smaller. Lobster was good, but somewhat bland. Tuna was also good as was my wife's toro. Main reason for downgrading a star was the Yellowtail. Both my wife and I had a fishy taste....may be an off day for their supplier but as someone who absolutely LOVES yellowtail, this was dissappointing. Overall good spot for Fort Worth which has a dearth of good sushi spots.

One of the rare restaurants that absolutely 100% lives up to the hype. We got there 20 minutes before opening and there was already a line. Doors opened on time and we were seated quickly. Service was great, the waitress even offered to take a photo of their specials menu on my phone for me to make it easier to ready. They have 3 combos to choose from and a huge list of specials to choose from which you can get as sushi or sashimi. The Uni Premium, Yuzu Salmon, Scallop, and Wagyu Uni were my absolute favorite. I would drive 50 minutes to Fort Worth every single week for these. Every hand roll was great, the nori was perfectly crisp and the rice is perfectly seasoned. You can't go wrong with any of the options. There's limited seating so get there before opening to get a spot! The wait is worth it.

I love this place! I always make sure to visit when I come to the DFW area. Even if you come right before they open, you'll be met with others waiting around also. That goes to show just how great it is! I dread waiting, but this place is so worth the wait. The set up is very intimate as it is a sushi bar that surrounds the chefs, so you can watch as they prepare your sushi. They have specials that rotate, which you can find on the specials board or their Instagram. They also have their set menu. My go to items each time are the handroll combos (3-5 handrolls), salmon belly (melts in your mouth and the best place for salmon belly), nigiri (ama ebi and chutoro).

It's the salmon belly. The intimate location and fantastic quality always bring me back. The salmon belly is fantastic! There is usually a queue to get in this place. Service is good. You can't go wrong here.

This place was AMAZING and worth the wait. I had gotten many recommendations from friends that come to visit DFW so we had to try this place out. The fish is so fresh, you can tell they get their fish fresh from Japan. I highly recommend getting the hand roll combos to get your moneys worth. Definitely will try coming back again!

My absolute favorite place in Fort Worth and top sushi places overall, hands down! The sushi quality here does not ever fail to amaze me. The ambiance of the place is also nice given that it's a cool sit around the bar situation as you watch the sushi chefs create your dishes. There are different specials every day, so head to their Instagram story for what it is or take a picture when you first come in so you can order with ease! Hatsuyuki is always incredibly busy on weekends so make sure to line up at a reasonable time if you want to ensure a seat. My must haves every time I go: - handroll set (I get 3-5 depending on how hungry I am/how many of special sashimi/nigiris I want to try!) - salmon belly (literally melts in your mouth) - chu toro (so flavorful!!)

Hatsuyuki Handrolls Bar is a culinary delight! We arrived there right before open, but we still had to wait 40 minutes because there were already people in line. This Japanese eatery in the heart of Fort Worth offers an exquisite selection of handcrafted sushi handrolls that are a feast for the senses. With fresh ingredients and skilled chefs, it's a must-visit for sushi enthusiasts. The ambiance was also great! Attentive servers, and the guy at the front desk gave me lots of great recommendations. He said to start with the specials, and then order handrolls to get full.
